Groundwork Coaching
Principle 1: Clear horse handling & problem solving
The way you lead your horse sets the tone for everything else you do together. The daily tasks you complete; feeding, brushing etc. create the foundation for your relationship. I can teach you to clearly communicate with your horse and to hold compassionate boundaries that create feelings of safety for you both.
Principle 2: Train in Freedom to understand your horse in a deeper way
Training in freedom levels the playing field - no tools, no small fences, no ropes. This is where you'll learn the most about your horse’s unique personality.
Freedom work is slow-paced and teaches precise timing. You'll follow a movement pattern, where your horse signals when to move and when to pause. I encourage you to add this to your routine - just five minutes before or after a ride.
The skills you develop - timing, feel, and communication - carry over into riding and other training, helping you become a more responsive and intuitive partner for your horse.
What does your horse focus on when given complete freedom? Let’s find out together!
Who is this service for?
I enjoy working with beginner horse handlers through to experienced trainers looking to explore concepts of freedom and consent in relation to horse training.
